Maori Tiki

ITEM CODE: M6

$5.00

Pendant available in simulated jadite (green), bone (ivory) or white.
Size: 2.75"- 3" Height

According to Maori mythology it is widely believed that the Maori Tiki represents the unborn human embryo. In Maori culture this represents a particularly powerful spirit for warding off bad luck, and as such it is regarded as a good luck charm. It is also known to be a symbol of fertility. Many years ago the most valuable tikis were hand carved from greenstone, and were handed down through the generations as treasured possessions.

**Be advised that there is a new supplier for the tiki. It is a little smaller in size (about 2.75") and a "jade-like" white coloring, not as plastic looking! Look at pictures for example. (for now: only small white and green have changed. The large sizes are still available in original coloring)
