A nose flute, also called a "nose whistle" or a "humanatone", is a wind instrument played with the nose and mouth cavity. It is a musical instrument often played in Polynesia and the Pacific Rim countries. It is a type of flute played by blowing air from the nose, not the mouth. In the North Pacific, in the Hawaiian Islands the nose flute was a common courting instrument. In Hawaiian, it is variously called hano, more specific term ʻohe hano ihu, "bamboo flute [for] nose," or ʻohe hanu ihu, "bamboo [for] nose breath" It is made from a single bamboo section. Size: 12"L
